PTA President role in Bond/Levy Campaign
Campaign Startup – end of school year 2009 and summer 2009
- Recruit VIS/PTA rep by October 1st (August would be better)
- Budget around $250 dollars for mailing
- Budget $1,000 (or best your PTA can manage) for campaign donation
Fall 2009-Feb 2010 Support VIS rep by:
- Giving 5 minutes at beginning of PTA meeting to ISF/PTA rep
- Making sure VIS articles go in PTA newsletters
- Providing money in the budget
- Providing support that mailing goes out in time (January)
- Schedule VIS and school district to come in and do a presentation Oct – Jan.
- Personally support phone banking and honk & wave by talking about how important these events are and trying to go yourself.
